A game we HAVE TO WIN but i fear a draw 1-1 and slipping deeper into the mire. .Like that team Beexie but i believe he will put kovac back in and leave out Ilan.

Birmingham will be a tough game, they were something like 13 games undefeated before they lost to Chelsea, and they managed a draw against Sp*rs last week.

Faubert MUST move up to right wing, he will cover Spex arse also. Noble, Collison, Diamanti MUST make way, for now, as they are underperforming. Ilan is the most natural, "in the hole" player we have and should play there. Behrami and Ilunga to exploit the wide left position (dunno who else,to be honest?) Mido could just be the geezer to pull us out of this, if given the chance? Just my 2c worth

Dont disagree with you mate, have to take it back about Mido was really miffed that we went after him but after last nite could just turn out to be our surprise package.Has something to prove so is an asset every time he takes the field IMO.Give the start against Brum and take it from there.

Both Collison and Noble need a bit of time to reflect methinks.

Team I would play Green Faubert Tomkins Upson Spector Parker Behrami Collison Ilan Cole Mido Subs: Stech, Ilunga, Kovac, Diamanti, Noble, Stanislas Give Collison one more chance at home and without bloody Noble in the side. Think also Collison better defensively than Stan but if need to attack change that during the game. Kovac if need more defence, Diamanti if need more creativity. Stech if Green needs boot up bum. Would not shift Faubs as RB is his possie now. Specs playing better than Ilunga.

I know he is a bit of a loose cannon, but I still think Diamanti is our best creator in the club, yet everyone else has abandoned him when determining their sides. I think he & Ilunga could work well on the left hand side to provide us with a bit of width to work with. I am also a firm believer that, after watching Collison this season, he is the perfect player to put in as the lurker behind the strikers. He seems to have an uncanny sense of where to be in attack & only the lack of finishing finesse (which we would hope he would obtain) & the lack of service would be the inhibitors. My squad (for what it is worth) would be ------------Green--------------- -Faubert, Upson, Tomkins, Ilunga- ----Behrami, Parker, Diamanti----- ------------Collison-------------- ----------McCarthy, Cole--------- Subs - Kurucz, Spector, Da Costa, Kovac, Noble, Mido Ilan
I must admit that I have been hugely disappointed with Collison. His workrate tends to disappear with the half time whistle, but I notice him in so many good positions when we attack, without getting the ball. He is wasted on the flank & can't play the position anyway. Huge potential but workrate questionable. I don't agree with Cole & Mido in the same forward line as they serve the same roles essentially. I didn't see the Burnley game, but from the written reports, Benni created a few opportunities & should be perservered with in the short term.

I think Benni is out having taken a knock and Diamanti was also out last I checked. Benni... was not brilliant in the opening half of last weeks game. He took a great touch and then volleyed horrendously which i had assumed to be a pass but am assured it's a shot. He then had one other good chance not taken before rounding the keeper and having his shot cleared off the line.

Bog, Methinks the same about Diamanti as you but as Chrisky said, I assumed he was out for Brum? I also think the same as you about Collison although I believe Diamanti should be in that position also and now I spose Ilan could play there as well? For me, Diamanti isn't a wide player - he's too slow. He should be able to roam in the middle and pick up the scraps of the strikers in the lurker position. Our natural wide players are Faubert and erm Stanislas at a squeeze cos he always cuts inside. We're missing a Shorey type defender or Matty Etherington on the left for sure.
